Affordable Orthodontic Treatment
You’ll love to know that modern orthodontic treatment is more comfortable than ever, and Dr. Ross is committed to giving you the most up-to-date options for your smile.
You and your family can find the latest braces options at Smiles of Palmetto Bay to make your smile transformation quick and affordable with results that last a lifetime.
Retainers
Once Dr. Ross removes your active orthodontic appliances, you’ll get retainers to stabilize the dental correction.
Because the bone and soft tissues surrounding the teeth take several months after braces come off to stabilize fully, you must wear your retainers as Dr. Ross instructs.
Surgical Orthodontics
Dr. Ross uses surgical orthodontics, or orthognathic surgery, to treat severe orthodontic cases like bad bites, jaw bone abnormalities, and malocclusion.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a dental specialty that focuses on treating complex craniofacial cases involving the mouth, jaw, face, and skull. If you need surgical orthodontics, we work with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon near Palmetto Bay to ensure you receive the best care possible.
TADs
Temporary anchorage devices, or TADs, are small titanium anchors Dr. Ross uses in certain orthodontic cases to help move teeth faster and more efficiently, and comfortably. Dr. Ross may use TADs along with braces or a headgear alternative.
While Dr. Ross is placing the TAD, you may feel slight pressure, but within a day, you will no longer be able to feel the TAD. We'll remove your TAD when you complete treatment at Smiles of Palmetto Bay, or after you don’t need it any longer to help straighten your teeth.
Common Problems
Orthodontic problems can affect anyone—our teeth are almost never naturally perfect. Malocclusion or a "bad bite" can cause chewing, oral hygiene, speaking, and aesthetic problems.
